America is still living up to the founders’ creeds. Slavery. Racism. Torture. Starvation. Massacres.
Invaded. What bullshit from the Administration. We have statutes in place to accept all because of our shameful 1930’s failure to accept Jews facing death in concentration camps in Europe.
Historically, we took care of wiping out the Stone Age-equivalent Native American population in a few hundred years, many a massacre with our advanced weapons and our deadly diseases.
It took 250 years for us to shuck slavery. Well, I mean Jim Crow is still rampant, but you don’t see the chains anymore.
In 1969, I remember the green checkmark at the top right of employment applications in the stack. It was in the margin. The Gaylord’s Assistant Store Manager, Clayton Asbell, explained to me, a new department manager, what that disgusting code mark meant. I didn’t think green to be apropos. Black would have been direct and accurate.
Which brings me to today’s racist brown skin hatred. Trump does not have policies. He hands out hatreds. His cult followers need hatreds as nourishment. That is what they want and thrive on. They will trade their Medicaid and food stamps to have a really good hatred for anyone painted beneath them. It makes them feel superior, which is better than food to them.
Cult followers salivate over the cruelty inherent in the shameful Concentration Camp Alligator Alcatraz (CCAA). A glam camp that will hold 5,000 people, right next to an airport runway to expedite in and out! How nice! (As we say down home! If you know that one, you get it.)
As small as it is, CCAA will cost Florida taxpayers $450 million to operate for 1 year. and FEMA will take over that cost when appropriations come through.
There are costs to racists’ hatreds, but no cost is too much for the devout. Really! No cost is too much for the rabidly devout racist. Federal emergencies, you know what I mean? Trump’s CCAA “resort” membership fees are $90,000 per person-year, or $246 daily for each bed. You cannot waste racists’ dollars on Medicaid. They want concentration camps. Sickos led by a mental defective, will be glad to see the many concentration camps that are now coming to a place near you.
Learning to hate immigrants like this is hard duty, but getting cult members to salivate is easy for Trump. Would you look at those beds!
One must note CCAA is a concentration camp, per the dictionary. (These are not detention centers. Do not be fooled. Do not allow any face-saving misnomers.)

A concentration camp is a facility where large numbers of people, often those deemed political enemies or members of specific groups like ethnic or religious minorities, are confined against their will. That is typically without legal charges or proper trials. Government decrees most often authorize the summary “housing” of the opposition. These concentration camps often operate under harsh conditions with disregard for legal norms.
Key characteristics of concentration camps:
Internment without due process: Individuals are detained or confined without being charged with a crime or having access to a fair trial.
Targeting specific groups: Concentration camps are often used to imprison people based on their political beliefs, ethnicity, religion, or other group affiliations.
Harsh living conditions: Prisoners are typically held under brutal conditions, experiencing severe mistreatment, forced labor, malnutrition, disease, and the constant threat of death. Below, early extermination efforts by the Nazis proved too slow.
Lack of judicial oversight: These camps typically operate outside of the normal legal and judicial systems.
In 1942, FDR authorized concentration camps in the U.S. by executive order. We were at war.
At its peak, the Arizona Concentration Camp at Poston, AZ, housed nearly 18,000 Japanese-Americans, who were rounded up on the West Coast and held in its dusty barracks for months to years.
Ultimately, more than a 100,000 Americans of Japanese ancestry were required to live in 10 inland assembly centers—concentration camps—from Manzanar, California, to Rohwer and Jerome, in southern Arkansas. Armed guards were trained to shoot defectors.
(Meanwhile, Americans of Italian and German descent were treated on a case-by-case basis, through the Enemy Alien Control Program, which affected 600,000 Italian-Americans and 300,000 German-Americans.)
This “special” racist treatment for the Japanese, a legacy of American racism, seems nonsensical until racism actually weighs in your thoughts. I guess we thought the Japanese to be a subhuman species—as the Japanese thought were the Chinese. We unleashed nuclear bombs on the Japanese. The Japanese unleashed biological warfare agents (anthrax and others) on Chinese cities (that they controlled) simply to test the biological weapons-effects on humans. The Japanese Unit 731 let the anthrax loose off the coast, then later did surveys in the cities afterwards to measure the numbers killed or incapacitated. You may not want to know about Unit 731, or that we gave these Japanese war criminals immunity.
They estimate the Japanese Unit 731 killed 600,000 Chinese with these weapons “experiments”.
Racism is a terrible, terrible ethos. Clearly we that hold racism in us are subhuman. I pray Steven Miller does not learn there are workarounds to flying people out, and that transportation costs can be reduced. I do not know where we are headed. Do not underestimate that to which concentration camping leads.

It irks me that the haters are really so few in number, but so very well funded. They can build concentration camps. The inhumanity turns my stomach.
We can forge our better fate in 2026 only if we can build a foundation inspiring enough of our voters to weigh in.
In the meantime, we must take to the streets en masse on July 17 to honor Rep. John Lewis, a civil rights icon. We can surpass the June 14th protesters in numbers. That was 11 million to 13.4 million. I hear both.
This month let us go out there 20 to 25 million strong!!! And yell, as Jackson Brown sang, til you go down. Yes, take to the streets.

This is unbelievable. I'm ashamed to be a member of the human race that can participate in these atrocities. Sickening. Criminal.
Gaza and the Palestinians are being systematically erased. Do Israelis expect us to believe that every citizen is Hamas. This is utter genocide of an entire innocent population to justify revenge on a radicalized few. Indiscriminate retribution against women and children, who are flesh and blood like your own loved ones.
Netanyahu is undeniably a war criminal deserving of the harshest of punishments. That so many enthusiastically condone and follow his orders is a scary reality.
That America's Commander in Chief can witness the carnage and not only assist in its execution, but gleefully see the devastation as a golden real estate opportunity speaks volumes of the perilous times ahead for the US.
That Trump can openly support another attempted genocide perpetrated by Putin in Ukraine, further demonstrates his corrupt criminality and lack of a soul.
Whenever I think of the despicable actions of Adolph Hitler in the past, I cannot help myself from condemning Netanyahu, Putin and Trump as the Hitlers of the present.
In many ways we still echoe the unevolved attitudes of our ancestors. Many of us are still stuck in the primitive form of fight or flight. Many of us have never developed critical thinking abilities and mistakenly rely on the wisdom of others, whom we deem more informed than ourselves.
I often think, that despite our current world population of 8 Billion people, there are solutions that could be found for all of the problems that plague humanity. I realize this sounds like a fantasy.
We have the technology, the knowledge and the riches to ensure that nobody suffers from lack of the basic necessities for survival.
But because of the us and them attitudes we are force fed and cling to in our misinformed sense of self righteousness, solutions for the well being of all mankind are not pursued as a top priority.
We hoard obscene amounts of riches in greed. We destroy hundreds of tons of food each year to keep prices stable. We subsidize the research for medicines and then leave the resulting miracle drugs in the control of pharmaceutical pirates, whose only concern is profit. And we distract ourselves with force-fed consumerism, to briefly satisfy our feelings of a hollow spiritual existence, with the false joy of possessing mere objects.
Our numerous religions, which theoretically share the base belief of love and kindness, are rarely preached with messages of the heart. Instead, throughout history, religion has been weaponized to keep us at war with each other. War is profit and power. Empathy and compassion for those that differ from us are weakness. Hate is much more lucrative.
I've wondered many times through my life why we still exist? No matter what GOD or creator you believe in, does it not seem reasonable that this deity would look down upon us in utter disgust and decide to erase the entire experiment as an abject failure? Wouldn't our complete disrespect and abuse of our glorious planet and our violent contempt for its inhabitants warrant such a decree of annihilation? Even an atheist cannot deny that we are headed towards the same fate, through our own actions.
I don't have the solution to the insurmountable task of uniting people for the well being of all mankind, but I believe that those of us who are good decent people far outnumber those who are only satiated by hate and greed.
We cannot change the past, but each morning that we are fortunate enough to reawaken, the future is ours to collectively determine.
