A reader, Michael Fox, said it best: “I believe that you go right for the jugular."
American people, I look at my DNC with growing trepidation. The DNC is totally consumed with self-inflicted internal squabbles of no import. In that morass, the DNC not only flounders from its core voter engagement and platform-building mission, but also the DNC presents a fatal boorishness that totally drives voters away.
I have written extensively on building an exciting Democratic Platform, one that ALL Americans will buy. (No DNC interest has been received here.) Let me suggest just one (of many) things here. A needs analysis and a take on a platform.
Needs Analysis:
DNC Platform:
So what is so hard here, DNC? You think we can’t sell this? What about single-payer healthcare? What about college tuition and trade school covered? What about deep sixing Citizens United? Put it in the platform.
LET ME VOTE ON THESE, PLEASE!
Designing and creating tomorrow entails envisioning and developing innovative solutions for today’s issues, for future challenges, and for country-building opportunities. Of course this is a well-defined systems engineering process. The DNC is clearly not doing it. (I take that back. Moon Landrieu may be working on it, alone.) If we want positive change, the process must:
identify the needs,
brainstorm ideas and solutions,
experiment with and integrate some leading-edge innovations,
systems engineer the solution packages,
sell the packages to the Nation, and
implement strategies to get there.
A systems engineering process requires collaboration, research, envelope-breakout experimentation and prototyping, and a willingness to adapt to evolving circumstances in order to take concepts into reality. Effective planning and execution are key components in transforming visions into tangible outcomes.
So where are the needs?
DNC, where are the needs? What are you doing, DNC?
Ah, kicking Dave Hogg to the curb? Really?
SMH.

We are in the divide, but you know well we have a bounty of love to give. It irks me that the haters are so few in number, but so very well funded. We can forge our fate only if we can build a foundation inspiring enough for voters to weigh in.
Trump is out of line spewing hatred. What will sell to voters is a goodness platform. We need to get on with that, forging our fate.
Turn the page from a very ineffective waste of time and money, DNC! Build a platform for all.
There is much more under each branch, isn’t there.
In the meantime, it is time to protest in the streets, as Jackson Brown sang, til you go down. Yes, lay down in their streets.

Trump provides the opposition with plenty of imagery, an abundance of lunacy and a track record of lawlessness, incompetence, and greed. These can provide uniting themes for not just the DNC, but for all of us: 1) Respect for the Constitution and the rule of law. 2) Respect for Competence and 3) Accountability
I love the visuals here - packing that extra punch for following & understanding the critical urgency of the message. I intensely agree that the DNC needs a major makeover to best deliver clearcut voices & actions defending & protecting the rights & freedoms of We The People.
