Worse it will become under Trump. He has his paid, cowardly supporters. I am not taking about the poor and undereducated. They will be rapidly thrown under the bus as they are no longer useful to him. (That was the plan all along.) Trump’s paid, cowardly supporters are those in Congress and on the Supreme Court. Those are directly supported by Trump and his cadre of oligarchs.
We can combat this graft on the new battlefield. All we have to do is join with others of our like kind and beliefs. Marshaled into a new army, we can resist and defeat Trump and his oligarchs’ rape of the U.S. Treasury. The old battlefield of Red versus Blue is yesterday’s conflict. Our messaging on the last battlefield was way off, but the battlefield is changing fast.
New Battlefields. There is a new the battlefield for 2026 and 2028. We must move fast to marshal and arm an army for it.
I do not fear bucking the oligarchs. The wealth that built the Spanish Armada in 1586-1588 was devastated by very simple means, small but many boats. Just like the Brits, we can defeat the wealth we now face by marshaling our many-numbered army, the small, wily, and agile.
We are entering a new landscape where great wealth has been weaponized into great political power. Both wealth and power are used to exploit the working and poor classes. Wealth and power are intimately connected to one another and are buying up our mainstream news sources for exploitation using disinformation. Their weapons are obfuscation, errors of omission, misleading headlines, and outright falsehoods.
The mainstream media does the bidding of the wealthy, cleaning up Trump and the oligarchs’ many gaffes and buffoonery. That is called sane washing. I call it fraud,…material misrepresentation. It is against the law. We must codify the law and add penalties as it applies to Federal elections. We can stop disinformation.
The wealthy now strive earnestly to change the rules of the game for the new battlefield. They will stifle social support programs so there is more Treasury money available on which they can gorge, seeking to get even wealthier. They gorge and gorge, skip taxes, and do not support those in need. They harm those who are not wealthy by buying and funding politicians. In that manner they have amassed great political power, pushing their lackey Republican representatives into power. The wealthy exploit the tax rules, they exploit labor, they fight organized labor, they stifle antitrust law, bankruptcy law, and finance regulations to gorge even further.
The Armies. The nation is now in two parts: the Haves and the HaveNots. We must look at that as the two opposing armies. We have essentially those two classes, and that defines the warring parties on the new battlefield.
The Haves’ army is small, but has their wealth-fueled powers and the Executive and Legislative Branches. Their efforts will be to splinter the HaveNots’ army into quibbling factions. That they will seek to do.
Clearly you know if the HaveNots stand with linked arms, the Haves cannot win in the battlefield. It is therefore imperative that we link our arms, hold to each other, and fight their attempts to splinter us as they did in 2024.
Link, Hold, Fight. The Haves used deceit to get the last tax cuts. They intend to do that again, but openly this time. We must counter each parry.
Equality Battlefield. One can see extreme racial discrimination, as is clear and open among the Haves, the oligarchs. Inequality is worsening drastically between the two classes, exacerbating racial divides. But class is critical to this new and coming battlefield. Of note, the HaveNots greatly outnumber the Haves. The Haves cannot win unless the HaveNots are splintered into matchsticks. Therefore, link, hold, and fight.
Most Americans are in the poor and marginal working class HaveNots, regardless of race or religion. These are the people that have been stripped of job security and wages by oligarchs. The oligarchs used their tax break money to send their factories overseas, leaving the HaveNots jobless and scrambling. It was their most offensive deceit. The oligarchs left us the Rust Belt, empty factories and some of the world’s best craftspeople jobless.
The HaveNots now suffer extreme job insecurity. Oligarchs import H1B indentured workers that 1) cannot change jobs, 2) work for less, and 3) get a boot back home if they object to anything the oligarch says.
The working class gets paid only slightly higher than 40 years ago, adjusted for inflation. Wages have stagnated across the board for the poor and marginal working class, the HaveNots. The class divide between the Haves and the HaveNots will widen because the middle class is now shrinking. Wage stagnation pushes more of the middle even further into the working class. More and more of our children need subsidized school lunches. Oligarchs staunchly stand in the way, opposed to feeding children. Nothing can be more nauseating or disgusting than this:
Inflation was 37.41% during this period. The oligarchs stopped minimum wage increases for more than a decade, conduct that is egregious and viciously cruel. We need your anger to stop this madness. Equality is a simple balance. It needs to be on the ballot.
A wealth tax is in order. Really, can you imagine an oligarchy of extraordinarily wealthy and powerful white men pitting themselves against the vast majority of the HaveNots. Gluttony on steroids. Bezos works overtime to block Amazon’s unionization. For oligarchs, it is judgement day when we make it that.
The Many Domestic Battlefields. The underlying contest of the past has been between a small wealthy Red minority that uses deceit and disinformation. They gained power over the system by buying politicians and using stilted propaganda on a billionaire’s cable outlet. They used fear mongering to exploit the poor and uneducated—the bottom—like baiting children with candy for vile exploitation. They created among the poor and poorly educated a fear of the brown-skinned immigrants that we as a country desperately need. At the same time they stifled legislation to create new immigration policy for the sole purpose of exploiting our most vulnerable citizens.
In the election process, demagogue Trump planned to use bigotry by blaming immigrants for contrived economic conditions. Did you know immigrants are the cause of the poor and working class’s stagnant incomes and economic insecurity. That is so far from true as to be absurd.
Fear mongering is the wealthy’s second-most used tool to siphon the votes of the undereducated and the poor. The first-most is their money. One oligarch alone gave Trump $277 million for the campaign. One person gave $277 million. Can you imagine? I propose an individual’s limit of $5000 as a donation. No PACs, no corporations, and no employees being reimbursed under the table. Austere, but a level playing field. Details will evolve from swifter minds than mine. I seek to begin that effort.
Today we have oligarchs gifted use of billionaire Rupert Murdoch’s 24/7 Fox cable entertainment and his mainstream purchase of the Wall Street Journal as mouthpieces for the wealthy. Bezos bought up The Washington Post where Democracy dies. The battlefield has changed drastically. We must adapt to use other media sources and by marshaling a distinct army with a righteous cause to uplift the Bottom echelons.
The Scam of the Century Battlefield. Trump has promised to deport at least 11 million immigrants in the United States who are undocumented, as if the Treasury does not need that $77 billion they pay in income taxes. Add that loss to start this deportation program’s financing bill. Then you can add up the immigrant manhunt, the roundup, the embarkation transport, the 50 brand new detention camps, the camp operations and maintenance, camp administration, immigrant processing, the legal fees, the internment food and medical servicing, and the debarkation transport.
Oh, but wait! Those costs are the new graft platforms for the oligarchs to gorge on. I almost forgot the real game plan.
It is obvious the oligarchy will become far more powerful and vicious as they threaten and/or buy politicians with their extraordinary wealth. (You and your wife want to fly to Bali? Here. Take my plane….Going to vote no when I said vote yes, I will primary you out of office!)
Reorganized to Exploit the Battlefields. The U.S. market is being reorganized to serve the oligarchy even more than it already does. By increasing their monopoly power, corporations give consumers fewer alternatives. They merge, then they reduce their overhead staff as they raise prices in their standard monopolistic practice. The corporations are now donating to (buying) politicians, thanks to a rogue Supreme Court. The Supreme Court will extend the right for corporations to vote very soon, given the current trends. They already said a corporation is a person. Except incorporating is the key means to avoid personal responsibility. Really, Clarence and Sam? Have you no shame?
We will come to redefine growth to exclude social spending upon which many needy and retired Americans depend. We can soon forget climate change and fresh potable water. Great wealth has morphed into the political power bent on changing the rules of the game—taxes, labor, antitrust, bankruptcy, and finance—to make the wealthy even wealthier at the expense of the working and the poor classes. The wealthy will redefine “efficiency” as the elimination of anything (climate change, potable water, waste-stream mitigation, healthcare, etc.) that does not engorge the oligarchs. That is the gist of the reorganized battlefield.
Arming our Army. The productivity of the American people depends on their education, their health, their wellbeing, and the infrastructure linking them together. We must build now a fortress of those four things. These foundation blocks must be a massive shift for this country, enough to draw votes from both sides.
Educational System. We must make college public education. K-12 will not cut it any longer. For kids to get ahead, college must be in the cards for 75% inclined to go. We are at 62% now. Further, the current cost of college is inconsistent with the structural requirements of our future workforces. We need all hands, and so many cannot go to college due to costs. If we are to build the future, we need highly educated workers to be competitive on a global scale. This change is minuscule financially for the oligarchs.
Healthcare System. I opt for the end of healthcare insurance. I should say the end of that healthcare insurance scam. I opt for universal healthcare like Medicare for all. This would mean the end of medical debts. No more medical bill induced bankruptcies, which are 72% of all bankruptcy. This would mean that hospitals would be funded via the government, and thus rural hospitals would be built rather than closed.
We now spend more per person on health care and with the worst results of any advanced nation. Indeed, we would gain $450 billion by going with a single payer system.
Wellbeing. Let me understand the median household income level, pegged by the Census Bureau, is $80,000 a year. Let me have a living wage for all individuals, and that means supplemental income be given to individuals below $30,000 a year. Let me have childcare on the house, at regulated daycare facilities. (I need to work.) And when I can no longer work, let my Social Security income suffice to cover my last days at a retirement-to-hospice enclave. The oligarchs can afford this.
Infrastructure. Our infrastructure still lags way behind that of China who now produces 10 times our annual steel output. That alone strikes fear in my heart. (I think in terms of essential commodity production being foundational for a war footing.) We have rebuilding of the Rust Belt to do. We need to buy rather than import. Elon Musk building cars in China to sell primarily to Americans is an outrage. Ban Tesla from American roads.
A Call to Arms. We must consider the 2026 Democratic Platform as the basis to draw together the HaveNots (The Bottom) to do battle with the Haves (The Top).
Can our bugle call marshal our Army? I can see where the societal paradigm shift for which I am calling could easily mean a lifetime benefit of $500,000 to an individual. Would you answer that call?
If you had four kids to get through college, would you answer that call? If your four kids that were preschool age, would you answer that call? If your spouse needed cancer treatment, would you answer that call? If you lived in the steel country, would you answer that call?
It is an imperative that the platform is sound and meaningful. It will be the wellspring for a movement that will not be denied, delayed, or deposed—but only if we craft it to be such. From this wellspring we must create courage to overcome the fears.
You elucidated the ills of our time! What we are facing has been 40 years in the making by the extreme right. Your treatise reminds me of Robert Reich's video, which I recently watched, entitled "10 Biggest Myths About Our Economy." Reich posits that tRump is not the cause of the crisis we find ourselves in. He is the symptom. The bottom line is that economic inequality is anathema to democracy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ3j4hHMO5E
