The mental decline of Donald Trump is being ignored, at the country’s peril, by those we charged with the duty to be on guard for America, our media. That media malfeasance is unforgivable.
America was clearly not prepared by our media to see Trump’s debate performance last night. Clearly Trump is not in command of even himself. Perhaps he lives isolated in that delusional baby killing-, dog and cat eating-, dictator-loving-, sundown enclave.
Disgusting is the best way to describe the performance of this candidate for the Presidency. He was an embarrassment to this country. The lies from Trump during the debate were astonishingly vulgar and obviously false.
Truth be told, Donald Trump’s last lie, his next lie, and his most recent Truth Social rant are not news. Media, in malfeasance, either ignores those lies and rants, or sane-washes them. After tens of thousands of his lies, numbness prevails.
Trump is now forever the Village Idiot. No sane person could present such horrendous lies in such a manner. Willful blindness in his constituency in the electorate is disgusting to most Americans.
That does not absolve media from its malfeasance. David Muir and Linsey Davis did their best to fact-check Donald Trump’s lies during the debate. The right lambasts the moderators for jumping on Trump and not Harris. How nice. Harris was not lying. Trump was. It was too many lies for the moderators to keep up with.
But his day is coming. Have no doubt about that. Laws have been broken. Justice is catching up with him, and he is on the run. He may well die first, but the hounds will be close at his heels every day for the rest of his life.
Nothing has diminished Donald Trump’s ability to grift, to take in foreign money, to money-launder his condos three at a time, or to delay pending indictments with a bevy of campaign-funded attorneys. At this juncture, he will double down on money-making grift. That is his purpose: brand exploitation. You contribute to his cause if you buy his sneakers.
