The DNC gave us no standardization of lexicon. Anybody know the name of the Democrats’ foe? What is the name of our foe? Is it MAGA? Oligarchs? Trumpets? Trumplers? Etc.
Naming transcends labeling. Labeling is easy. Naming is not. Get this. Naming requires both discovery and invention. In that, naming requires faithfully following two principles. “Faithfully” naming requires adherence to: the first principle is the reality principle; and the second principle is the creativity principle.
Reality. The reality principle is an arché, the actuating point and orginating source. The arché establishes a base and sets the trajectory in a particular direction.
Creativity. The creativity principle explores beyond what’s (presently) there, seeking a meaningful destination. Naming includes intent to design follow-on context and evolve actual meaning.
How can we learn to name faithfully? Try to follow sound advice.
Not following the reality principle, but creative, is a boy named Sue.
And there you see the importance of adhering faithfully to each of the two principles of naming. Sue’s arché was off base.
Decided on a name? When you are done naming, the only questions will be: 1) whether you are faithful or not, and 2) whether you are accurate or not (within the historical world as we know it). Accuracy implies your name is including everybody in the grouping named.
Fukity Worms is a label. Trumplerds is a label. Isabella Rossellini is a name, and perhaps the most beautiful name ever. Two four-syllable words that just roll off the tongue. I say those words over and over. Isabella Rossellini. Isabella Rossellini. Then with an accent. Isabella Rossellini. Isabella Rossellini.
Try these two four-syllable words, and then say them over and over. Psychopathic neo-fascist. Psychopathic neo-fascist. Psychopathic neo-fascist.
Psychopathic neo-fascist (PNF) is a faithful and an accurate name. That name is the product of my exploration on this subject with this community. The DNC is not standardizing our lexicon, but I am trying. My three previous posts walk you through the work done to date. I think my job is done here. Let me know, please.
Thank you. Good work on coming up with that...PNF!
We just need words with initials that will roll off the tongue more easily and quickly conjure that same truth.
