ex-Judge Daniel Solomon posted this information and I had to share it.
On an individual basis, some Congressional Republicans are quite vulnerable, both morally and politically. We must 1) exploit an imbalance in this opportunity and 2) take advantage of 4 Senate seats to be vacated by the current Republican occupants.
Of the 33 regularly scheduled Senate elections in 2026, 1️⃣3️⃣ seats are held by Democrats and 2️⃣0️⃣ seats are held by Republicans. Quite an imbalance, and thus an opportunity.
Those not seeking re-election in 2026 are 4 Republican senators announced so far. Not even Susan Collins can be surprised about Joni (“We are all going to die!”) Ernst’s recent announcement.
We can turn Maine, Iowa, North Carolina, and Arkansas. We just have to do it. (Yes, you can quote me.)
Imagine a Democrat taking McConnell's seat in Kentucky, if you will! Our work is cut out for us. Here is Daniel Solomon’s Substack page.
Judge Solomon says this is the political landscape: of the 33 states holding Senate elections in 2026:
Trump (R) won 21 of those states in 2024 and Harris (D) won 12.
Democrats will be defending 2 states that Trump won in 2024: Georgia and Michigan.
Republicans will be defending 1 seat in a state Harris won: Maine. Goodbye, concerned Susan!
The last time, 20 Republican-held Senate seats were up for election in 2020, 4 were decided by a margin of less than 10%:
Iowa (6.6%),
Maine (8.6%),
North Carolina (1.8%), and
Texas (9.6%).
The last time the 13 Democratic-held Senate seats were up for election in 2020, 5 were decided by a margin of less than 10%:
Colorado (9.3%),
Georgia (1.2%),
Michigan (1.7%),
Minnesota (5.3%), and
New Mexico (6.1%).
We should make an election strategy plan on:
Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) (Retiring)
Ernst, Joni (R-IA) (Just announced.)
McConnell, Mitch (R-KY) (Retiring)
Tuberville, Tommy (R-AL) (Retiring)
Collins, Susan M. (R-ME)
Cornyn, John (R-TX)
Sullivan, Dan (R-AK)
Cotton, Tom (R-AR)
Daines, Steve (R-MT)
Capito, Shelley Moore (R-WV)
Graham, Lindsey (R-SC)
Hagerty, Bill (R-TN)
Hyde-Smith, Cindy (R-MS)
Lummis, Cynthia M. (R-WY)
Marshall, Roger (R-KS)
Cassidy, Bill (R-LA)
Mullin, Markwayne (R-OK)
Ricketts, Pete (R-NE)
Risch, James E. (R-ID)
Rounds, Mike (R-SD)
Look at those states.
Those representatives just viciously attacked their own poor, needy, and disadvantaged constituents. Medicare and Medicaid cuts will kill their local healthcare systems while increasing the needy’s income taxes and making them pay tariff-inflated prices at the grocery store. Did I mention their car insurance will greatly increase because of new huge tariffs on imported parts, aluminum, and steel?
Republicans rob the poor to fatten the rich.
Unconscionable Representation. These Republican representatives are crooks. Thanks to Daniel Solomon for doing this baseline and pointing out the misrepresentation and the opportunity we have to turn the Senate.
And at protests, yell like hell, as Jackson Brown sang, til you go down. Yes, take to the streets.
