It is not like we don’t know what to do. We actually do know, but we are not doing it. I know it is not mobilization. It is mass “organization”. It has four components.
Worthiness
Numbers
Unity
Commitment
I just saw Erica Chenowith. I said to myself, I know her from MSNBC. She was always brilliant. Well, MSNBC is not her home. I found her again at Harvard, and she enlightened me of our humongous Stumbling Block. I will share that. The DNC is lacking ANY organizational skills. They prioritized ONLY fund raising skills, and bought the farm. Farm to market crashed November 5, 2024. It was not only rotten produce, but also it has alienated Democratic donors. We are pissed.
Mobilization is not Organization. We have been mobilizing and no one is there to organize. Lots of people milling around, each doing something. (Not saying what comes to mind.) Nothing is done together beyond a few minutes. Singles can’t follow up and work it. Lots of wasted motion with just mobilizing and flitting about.
I worked to develop very large 15,000-person organizations to manage, operate, and maintain large Federal worksites and national laboratories. Every department had a mission, a statement of work, deliverables, and a funding document outlining their roles and responsibilities. And they answered to headquarters, DCAA, the IG, and the GAO, all doing oversight and monitoring progress.
At the DNC we have quiet, lots of quiet, except for raising donations. Departments have goals and deliverables? And they answer to? None and no one. And if you ask me, they do nothing. We will have to plan on mass organization without them. Unless Ken can get his gear in butt. So let me turn you over to hear what Erica had to say. She knows this shit.
I will work on what she said, but let us focus now on step one. Organizing. The Commitment part comes later. Commitment, go with Jackson Browne Til I Go Down (1986) Lives in the Balance. If this link below works, I will be surprised. If it doesn’t, listen to his protest song from 40 years ago.
It was enthralling to gather the impact of my words on you, PJ. I turn 76 next month. The media in 1977-1979 had a pro-Shah bias. The media would avoid pro dialogue of the protestors. My landlady, Poori, explained to me why there was an anti-American bias in Iran. Not another Iranian said a word to me. The CIA installed the Shah back into power in Iran in 1958 I think. She also explained the white shirts. Blood would contrast vividly and the target was clearly visible. Thank you for your input. Til I Go Down was a Jackson Brown song I missed at the time, but it says the impetus and courage we must all have to take down this dicktraitor.
I am upset. I offered to help the DNC. I got no reply.
