We have a supply of spam, canned salmon, and beans. I just learned about lentils, which are four-colored, don't require soaking like beans, and cook in a short time. Without seasoning, the flavor reminds me of refried beans. There are many delicious recipes, and their high protein, nutritious, and low glycemic qualities make them a good source of low-cost food. We are also planting a garden. Thanks for the article and the suggestions. I wouldn't buy anything high-cost, except a television, if ours stops working. We have old vehicles, so that may be a problem.

Canned salmon is too often fried. I have no recipes. Help. Canned tuna, Mamaw’s tuna fish salad. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/6uv25mloqgbsbx54wkayv/Tuna-Salad-Mamaw-s.jpeg?rlkey=dnsjjf1sz5ow4sqgnm710tqhw&st=t5ppbrk2&dl=0
Capers are very nutritious and add flavor. I will try the tuna fish salad. Sounds delicious.
Mamaw was Dale Earnhardt’s grandmother.
Huge fan of capers btw. Hi Glo !
Thank you Carl. There is much good information in your writings. I came here specifically to say this.
Love the information you share Carl. Sole income for my household is SS disability. If I could, I would gladly support your efforts. Thanks so much
